Our body shop
In our body shop all our cars are stripped and metal fabrication works is carried out. We supply and fit new Mercedes panels where possible. On some models, panels are not readily available so we have to fabricate them. We have the necessary tools needed: guillotines, stretchers and shrinkers and English wheels. Our technicians can weld using Mig, Mag, tig and acetylene welders.
Our panel shop
Visit our panel shop at Heaney Motor Co today – this is where all metal work and structural repairs are carried out. The vehicles come here as bare metal shells to have new panels fitted or for any repairs that have to be carried out. A typical example of a full metal work job would be the replacement of all 4 wings, inner and outer rear wheel housings, front inner wings replaced and maybe also the 2 side members. Also depending on the car or the customers’ requirements, we can also supply and fit section repair panels which can help to keep costs down.
Specialist services
We can basically carry out any type of repair, on many of the early pre and post war cars, many panels are not available to buy, so they must be re-manufactured.
We have local skilled craftsman at our disposal who are able to do this, which means it is possible to build virtually any car.
We also have specialist welding companies who will carry out repairs to any of the alloy panels that get damaged or are corroded
